The fourth edition of Homo Faber Biennial invites you to explore the fundamental relationship between light, materials and the human hand.
Folds Console featured at Homo Faber An Island of Light.
This console by Garrido was crafted using traditional silversmithing techniques, including piercing, cold bending and filing. Invisible brazed joints provided continuity to the form, which was selectively polished to enhance its geometry and interaction with light. Evoking the faceted surfaces of cut stones, the piece echoes the design language of contemporary architecture.
