With its simplicity and bold design, the elegant Cuspid Mirror adheres to Garrido’s ethos of fusing contemporary design with exquisite craftsmanship. Executed in nickel-plated metal the frame draws inspiration from Cubism. The sculptural personality of the mirror lends to the senses of balance and design, offering the viewer an exciting composition and Avant-guard aesthetic. Showcasing several techniques mastered at GARRIDO workshop, the vertical facets are treated with the embossed textures, satin burnish and hand-polish.

The Cuspid Collection is one of the earliest collections designed by Juan and Paloma Garrido. Developed at the early stages of the new era of GARRIDO workshop, the collection strongly references the craft of silversmiths. It showcases the superlative skill of GARRIDO as masters of silver, artfully displaying numerous traditional techniques rarely used these days. The collection experiments with and challenges the technical skills of soldering, cold-bending, forging, polishing and embossing. Using geometrical shapes and angularity, the collection alludes to Cubism, forming a study of three dimensionality through volume and line. Similarly to Cubism the Cuspid Collection uses broken up forms and creates an illusion of presenting a multitude of viewpoints in a greater context.

The water motif - hand-shaped, forged and polished by our skilled craftsmen come alive while in use, with fire animating the shallow waveforms on the jambs and the hood, as well as providing warm glistening effect on the whole surface of the Nickel Waves Fireplace. This monumental fireplace is an ultimate statement piece, which will steal attention and dominate the interiors.
WAVES COLLECTION
The Waves Collection is inspired by one of four elements - water. This sleek collection is characterised by its high gloss finish, playful waveforms and glistening reflections, with these pieces exuding opulence and sophistication. The water motives seen throughout the collection, hand-shaped and forged by our skilled craftsmen, come alive while in use with light animating the waveforms as well as providing gleaming effect on the surfaces of the pieces from the Waves Collection. Organic forms and the use of ordered chaos pay tribute to the natural wonders of the world, which always lay at the hear of GARRIDO’s oeuvre.

Inspired by our classic - Quartz Art Plinth Set, this elegant Quartz Console Table has been crafted in hand-embossed and hand-polished 24 karat yellow gold and bronze-plated brass. Designed as two joined pedestals and executed in an eye-grabbing shade the Quartz Console Table is an ultimate statement. All metal facets, which make up the body of the Quartz Console Table are meticulously textured by hand or polished to a high sheen and scrupulously assembled into an art piece, which can serve the function of a console table or an exhibition podium.

Embodied in metal the Quartz Collection is the epitome of ingenuity and dexterity. Crafted using precious metals with the application of scintillating textures and finishes, the collection offers a unique shimmering aesthetic decorous for collectors of great beauty. The motif of the collection originates from the organic stone formations, assembled from numerous interlocking segments. This Cuspid Lamp features a vibrant geometric motif depicted in forged bronze and nickel-plated metal. The geometric rectangular pattern is inspired by the works of the great Cubist artist and sculptor George Braque. The lamp base is shaped in rounded format, presenting different views of the shallow relief of the geometrical motif - making it a perfect piece to be viewed in the round. The Cuspid Lamp also includes a luxurious silk shade.

ARISTAS COLLECTION
Galvanised by the power of light the Aristas Collection is based on smooth surfaces that bestow an elegant formal purity to the designs. With the numerous broken lines on the rippled surface of the pieces, which resemble the beams of light the collection is an artistic adaptation of the energy of light. The dramatic composition of the spherical elements posing at the centre of a number of the Aristas pieces with the dramatic busts of light - pay homage to the dramatisation of light pioneered by the Baroque artists, especially Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Similarly to the 17th-century style the Aristas collection creates theatrical composition using deep colours, grandeur and notion of surprise in order to achieve a sense of awe in the viewer.
