The Crosscut Table launched as part of the GARRIDO Crosscut range, an artistic interpretation of architectural forms. Designed as two separate parts, the table is joined with a glass sheet in the middle, allowing the viewer to look inside the void of the table to explore the structure of the piece and appreciate the technicality of the design. The table is meticulously assembled by hand from numerous nickel- plated metal segments treated with three different finishes: chemical etching, satin burnish and hand-polish.
CROSSCUT COLLECTION
Taking inspiration from architecture, the collection employs vertical and horizontal shapes to form geometric compositions, applying smooth surfaces that bestow elegant formal purity to the designs. The Crosscut collection presents a combination of ridged and highly angular motifs. The apparent regularity that stems from such a strict geometric approach is transformed and enhanced by the asymmetry that grants all the pieces a multiplicity of perspectives, playfully surprising the viewer with a multitude of viewing points.
