Inspired by our popular set of Folds Tables, this elegant Gold Folds Console Table has been hand-crafted in hand-embossed and hand-polished 24 karat champagne gold-plated brass. The eglomisé surfaces of the rippled facade of the console table create a juxtaposition of light. Rather than placed against a wall, the console table is designed to stand in the middle and be admired from all the sides, with dynamic folding facets and sculptural segments which draw the eye in.

With the natural world lying at the very heart of GARRIDO’s oeuvre, the Folds Collection pays tribute to the issue of the global warming and melting of the arctic ice caps. Willing to bring awareness to the issue, GARRIDO uses iceberg and icicle forms as its inspiration, referencing the interlocking horizontal and vertical lines found in ice formation. Highly ridged folds, characteristic for this collection, symbolise the crashing and shattering of the arctic ice. Embodied in metal the GARRIDO Folds pieces personify the fading beauty of the natural world. Executed in lustrous metals and coated with the frosting-like textures, the Folds pieces resemble different shapes of ice, offering an inventive adaptation of the natural elements.
