The Nickel Crystal Console Table is a magnificent artistic piece complex in its design and execution. Hand-assembled from numerous metal segments, the design is an artistic interpretation of crystal-forming processes, which inspired the creation of this piece. The multifaceted facade of this piece challenges the perception of a usual console table. The table’s surfaces is treated with high sheen polishing in combination with the vibrant nickel lustre, offering an overall sensual experience of the artwork and turning it into a highly reflective and complex mirror design.

The Crystal Collection is one of the most complex collections executed at GARRIDO workshop. Challenging the precision of design and execution, pieces from this collection embody engineering genius of the workshop. Complex forms of the Crystal Collection are inspired by the highly ordered lattice structure of organic crystal formations: diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other precious stones. Embodied in metal and on a grander scale, the GARRIDO Crystal pieces are the workshop’s adaptation of jewellery. Lustrous in their finish and luxurious in design, the GARRIDO jewels are evocative of the exquisite gemstones with their organic aesthetic and highly asymmetrical forms.

The GARRIDO Crystal Commode is a unique commode with a high finish featuring a rich onyx hued nickel alloy-plated facade inspired by glacier formations found in nature. The highly polished front is meticulously hand-constructed from the multitude of angular facets. The slanted planes allow the light to reflect from the surface enhancing the dramatic effect. The commode’s interior is composed of perfectly aligned shelves that emphasise on the broken lines of the exterior design and exquisitely lined with mahogany on the inside.

With the natural world lying at the very heart of GARRIDO’s oeuvre, the Folds Collection pays tribute to the issue of the global warming and melting of the arctic ice caps. Willing to bring awareness to the issue, GARRIDO uses iceberg and icicle forms as its inspiration, referencing the interlocking horizontal and vertical lines found in ice formation. Highly ridged folds, characteristic for this collection, symbolise the crashing and shattering of the arctic ice. Embodied in metal the GARRIDO Folds pieces personify the fading beauty of the natural world. Executed in lustrous metals and coated with the frosting-like textures, the Folds pieces resemble different shapes of ice, offering an inventive adaptation of the natural elements.

The elegant Cilindros Square Table has been hand-crafted using nickel alloy-plated brass and topped with an extraordinary Nero Marquina marble slab. The marble’s richly black colouring compliments the high sheen Onyx plated cylinders, which make up the body of the table. Each one of these column-shaped components different in size has been hand-shaped into a perfect geometrical form and assembled with great level of precision. Hand-polished to a high gloss, these jewel-like pieces wedged together create a masterpiece, unique in its execution.

The Cilindros Collection firmly consolidates in the geometric design and poses as an avant-garde form. Based on curved forms inspired by the female body, the sensual and delicate forms of the collection offer a very gentle and feminine aesthetic. Inspired by the geometric forms of Art Deco, and the bright colours and rare and exquisite materials prevalent in the Vienna Secession movement, the Cilindros Collection is a luxuriously sculptural design. Quoting Art Deco with the cylindrical motives seen throughout the collection, the Cilindros pieces are transformed by the asymmetry that grants them a multiplicity of perspectives, playfully surprising the viewers. The sculptural Aristas Console Table is crafted from onyx coloured nickel alloy-plating with table-top executed in anthracite-coloured nickel. The piece’s richly dark table-top is meticulously worked with embossed textures. The rippled body of the console table is polished to a high sheen, to creating a luminous effect. The Aristas Console Table is an unconventional jewellery-furniture piece, inspired by the Avant-garde notions of experimental design and unorthodox approach to aesthetics.

Galvanised by the power of light the Aristas Collection is based on smooth surfaces that bestow an elegant formal purity to the designs. With the numerous broken lines on the rippled surface of the pieces, which resemble the beams of light the collection is an artistic adaptation of the energy of light. The dramatic composition of the spherical elements posing at the centre of a number of the Aristas pieces with the dramatic busts of light - pay homage to the dramatisation of light pioneered by the Baroque artists, especially Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Similarly to the 17th-century style the Aristas collection creates theatrical composition using deep colours, grandeur and notion of surprise in order to achieve a sense of awe in the viewer.

The Crosscut Table in Onyx plating has been the latest addition to the Crosscut collection. Featuring three different finishes, chemical etching, satin burnish and hand-polishing in combination with the rich black nickel alloy plating, the table offers a strikingly modern aesthetic. The juxtaposition of glass and ridged metal forms that make up the table, in conjunction with the plating's sensually vibrant lustre pay homage to contemporary architecture.

Taking inspiration from architecture, the collection employs vertical and horizontal shapes to form geometric compositions, applying smooth surfaces that bestow elegant formal purity to the designs.
